First off, the South Health Campus is due to open this summer. Auburn Bay is the community closest to the new hospital. They will be employing nearly 1500 people. These staff members along with those who are simply interested in living closer to a hospital will increase the demand for homes in the area.

The second reason I think Auburn Bay is a great area to invest in is the fact that Seton, which is one of the largest mixed-use developments in North America will be erected surrounding the hospital. In total, there will be over 2.5 million square feet of commercial, office, retail and residential development. This is an area that will grow massively in the next ten years. Being one of the first investors in the surrounding community is a very good investment decision.

The last reason why I think Auburn Bay is a great investment is the fact that it has fantastic curb appeal. These homes exude cottage country charm. There is a 43 acre lake surrounded by a sandy beach. Activities such as kayaking, fishing, paddling and swimming can be enjoyed in the summer, while skating and playing hockey can be enjoyed in the winter. There are 13 acres of park land and there’s an off leash dog park as well. This is a family friendly community.

Homes here start in the low $300,000 range. As you may expect, I am also an investor in Auburn Bay.
